Weingut Hermann Moser Zweigelt, Niederosterreich, Austria 2019
100% Zweigelt
The nose alone of this wine will hook you! Gorgeous aromas with bright cherry and berry fruit on the palate… this is a stunner. Serve with a slight chill and bask in its juicy deliciousness.
Weingut Hermann Moser is run by Martin and his wife Carmen Moser. The estate is 300 years old and is located in the village of Rohrendorf in the Kremstal wine-growing region in Lower Austria.
Martin is a member of the Traditionsweingüter Österreich association (Traditional Austrian Wineries Association). The association was founded in 1992 and is composed of 23 growers who have together created a single level classification of 52 of their best single vineyards in the four Danube regions; namely, Kremstal, Kamptal, Traisental and Wagram. Wines from a vineyard with such status bear the ‘Erste Lagen’ (Premier Cru) logo on the label alongside the vineyard name. The aim of the classification is to identify the best vineyard sites that illustrate the typicity of the ‘terroir’ and special characteristics of the wine itself.
